How to record your Mac, understand what happened, program what the video should do, polish it and export it with MeCorder.

MeCorder records your Mac’s screen and turns the recording into a finished video. It knows what you clicked, typed and scrolled, so it can zoom into the right places on its own, and it lets you describe what the video should do whenever something happens. Everything it does for you stays editable, and your recordings never leave your Mac.

A MeCorder video goes through five stages:

  1. Record your screen, voice, webcam and system audio, each as its own track.
  2. Understand what happened: every click, hover, scroll and key press becomes a named event, such as Click Save.
  3. Program what the video should do: when something happens, do these camera moves and effects.
  4. Polish anything by hand on the Timeline: cuts, camera, cursor, text, effects and audio.
  5. Export an MP4, MOV or GIF that looks exactly like the preview.
